JAMMU, Nov 1: A general body meeting of All the Piece Workers & Contractors of Jammu & Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation Ltd under the banner of JKPCC Ltd; Piece Workers & Contractors Association Jammu held a meeting to discuss the various important issues of the contractors & piece workers & also to elect the new body of the association.
In an impressive gathering, office bearers of the piece workers & contractors were elected unanimously to chalk out the future course of action pertaining to the day to day working & various grave issues. Rakesh Jalali, was elected as President of the association, while Sunil Sahib as Gen. Secretary & Mohinder Kohli as office Secy./Treasurer. The newly elected body also comprise of three executive members, elected as Rajesh Jain of M/S Jain Marbles, Rahil Malick (Contractor) & Sumit Malhotra (Local Manufacturer).
During the 90 minutes long meeting, two important issues among the various issues were discussed threadbare. The first & main important issue, which figured in the discussion was long pending liabilities of the piece workers/Contractors in crores of rupees over a long period of time since past 4 to 5 years. While addressing all the members of the association, newly elected president of the association Rakesh Jalali appealed to the LG of j&k UT, Manoj Sinha to kindly look into the matter personally as it is a subject matter of most paramount importance & any further delay into the matter would be more detrimental to the cause of jkpcc piece workers, contractors, specialised firms etc. |
