Don't sprinkle salt on our wounds': Pulwama martyr's wife tells Congress

Jammu, Nov 1: Martyr's kin slammed opposition and doubters gang for questioning supreme sacrifice of 40 CRPF bravehearts during Pulwama terror attack last year.
With tears in her eyes, Shazia Kausar, wife of martyr Constable Naseer Ahmad of 73 Bn said, the admission of a Pakistan minister Fawad Chaudhary on Islamabad’s role in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack has exposed those who “questioned the sacrifice."
"By spinning conspiracy theory they were only rubbing salt on our wounds," rued Shazia and demanded an apology from the Congress and 'saboot lobby' for casting aspersions over attack orchestrated by Pakistan.
"My request to these opposition parties is that for God’s sake don't play this dirty politics ever again. Such accusations only adds to our pain," said Shazia with folded hands.
Soon after Pulwama bombing, Congress and lobby had given clean chit to Pakistan by shifting the blame on the homegrown terror of being behind the brutal terror attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were martyred. Zubeida, the mother of Shazia, lambasted Pakistan minister Fawad Choudhary for gloating over Pulwama bombing and calling it a big achievement of Imran Khan.
"Shame on Pakistan. How come martyring of unarmed CRPF men be a big achievement? Your proxies backstabbed them and shattered 40 families. Stop promoting terror," said Zubeida, in an angry tone. Family members of other martyrs too are agitated and angry with opposition's insensitive response after Pulwama attack. "If opposition parties can't do anything good for us, at least they should not belittle the sacrifice of our near and dear ones by politicising valour of troops," reiterated Simmi, sister-in-law of Constable Ravi Kumar, who was martyred while fighting with terrorists in Bandipora area of North Kashmir.
"Everybody knows who is pushing terror into India. Wherefrom arms and ammunition is smuggled. And who is aiding and abetting terror? But I fail to understand why our opposition acts so naive? This way they only shield wrongdoings of Pakistan," added Simmi.
Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking at an occasion to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel in Gujarat’s Kevadiya, said the country will not forget the “distasteful comments and accusations” made by the opposition in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack.
“The acceptance in the neighbouring country about the Pulwama attack has exposed the people who questioned the sacrifice of the Pulwama martyrs. I endured those allegations but I had a deep wound on my heart for my brave soldiers who had laid down their lives. I would urge such political parties that, in the interest of the security of the country, for the morale of our security forces, please do not do such politics,” the PM said.
The Prime Minister’s remark came a day after senior Pakistani minister Fawad Chaudhry in a sensational disclosure had admitted in the country’s National Assembly that Islamabad was responsible for the Pulwama attack that brought the two countries to the brink of war.
