Wushu Association issues calendar of domestic activities

Jammu, Nov 4: The Wushu Association of J&K organized online meeting on 3rd November 2020 in which the calendar of activities for the year 2020-21 was discussed and issued. The District Activities will be carried out in the month of November whereas some district units have requested to the President and the General Secretary of WAJK for the conduct of the championships in the month of December 2020 due to covid-19. The Referee seminar and the coaches seminar will be held from 23rd to 26th November 2020 whereas the 16th J&K State Wushu Championship will be held in the month of 27th to 30th November 2020. The President Vijay Saraf directed all the district units to follow the guidelines and SOPs of the government during the events.
The office bearers of the Wushu Association of J&K thanked the entire district units for their support and carrying out district activities in this pandemic. Almost all the district units are attending the Khelo India E – Pathshala classes being organized by the Sports Authority of India in collaboration with Wushu Association of India. Moreover some district like Srinagar, Jammu, Baramulla, Bandipora, udhampur carried their online zoom classes to boost the morale of the players high. The spirit of the Wushu Athletes across the UT J&K are very high and are ready to participate in any competition. The Wushu Association of J&K thanked Wushu Association of India for initiating process with SAI Headquarters for opening of National Centre of excellence at UT J&K and UT Ladakh.
