Vicious Gupkar gang decaying J&K’s economy, tourism: Raman Suri
11/5/2020 12:17:29 AM

Early times Report

Jammu, Nov 4: Coming down heavily on Gupkar gang during a meeting of core committee members of Tourism Federation of Jammu (TFJ), Raman Suri General Secretary said that over the years, the erstwhile state of J&K was shattered by the so-called well-wishers of the state merely to fulfill their vested interests.
These spent forces were filling their pockets at the sake of J&K’s development while pushing the people of J&K into the vicious cycle of violence, repression and stagnation by giving importance to the old draconian laws like Article 370 & 35-A. On 5th August 2019, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Article 370 was abrogated and J&K State was reorganized into two Union Territories that is, J&K and Ladakh by the Central Government. Right after that, G C Murmu was appointed as the 1st Lieutenant Governor of J&K, who changed the development scenario in J&K by taking several historic and important decisions for the betterment of J&K UT.
All central laws were extended to J&K and the old authoritarian laws were abolished for the benefit of people. All these led to rise of huge tourism potential in J&K, which was earlier shadowed by the spent forces of PDP, NC which have now signed Gupkar Declaration.
While addressing the office bearers Sd. Amrik Singh, B.B. Kotwal, Tapan Dubey, Gaurav Gupta, further Raman Suri said, now when development in all spheres can be sensed, boost in tourism and surge in the number of tourists is being anticipated, a new era of growth and positivity is being ushered in the UT of J&K, these people are seeking the repositioning of draconian Article 370. Even after so much growth and visible changes, the Gupkar Declaration was signed by the haters of J&K’s development.
