Early Times Report

RAMBAN, Nov 4: For on the spot redress of public grievances and doorstep service delivery by different Government departments, the weekly Block Diwas camp was today organised here at Batote.
District Development Commissioner (DDC), Nazim Zai Khan presided the camp. Similar, camps were held at five designated locations in the district. BDC Chairman, Batote, Rajeshwar Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dhirender Sharma, BDO, Tehsildar, XEns, CMO, CHO, CAHO, CEO, ARTO, AMO, ALC and other officers and officials of various departments besides PRIs and prominent citizens attended the programme.
The PRIs and individuals apprised the DDC about public issues and sought potable drinking water supply, augmentation of power infrastructure, speeding up Aadhar up-dation, check on overcharging of fare on local routes, renovation of PS Champa, sanctioned strength of staff in health centres, block topping of Chakwa road, filtration of water, maintenance of Rakhjrogh road, power curtailment in winter season, health sub centre for Sana, sanction of PMAY houses, solar lights for Panchayats, repair of hand pumps, employment for youth in ongoing national projects and other issues of public interest. The issue of excluding three Panchayats of Batote Block-Thopal, Chakwa and Dharmoond from PHE Division Doda to include them in Ramban PHE division was raised prominently. The DDC patiently listened to the issues during public meetings and resolved most of the issues on the spot.
He directed the district and sectoral officers to ensure their service counter of their respective departments at block diwas meetings so that the public can reap the benefit of different government schemes without visiting offices again and again.
