Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 7: Global Helping Hand today launched Aarogya ka Abhishak in continuation with its health mission for eradication of diseases from UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
The mission was launched by Retd. General KC Mehta (VSM). While launching the mission General Mehta said that he feels privileged to be associated with Global Helping Hand for launching this mission through social media Covid-19 restrictions & administrative adversaries.
He, further apprised that in the present scenario, the Cancer causing agents are present everywhere, in eatables, beverages, drinks etc. etc. And the only way we can save ourselves is by creating awareness amongst the public. The substances that cause cancer are called carcinogens. A carcinogen may be a chemical substance, such as certain molecules in tobacco smoke. The cause of cancer may be environmental agents, viral or genetic factors but we need to bear in mind that in majority of cancer cases we cannot attribute the disease to a single cause.
He further added that the important lifestyle factors that affect the incidence and mortality of cancer include tobacco, alcohol, junk food consumption, obesity, infectious agents, environmental pollutants, and radiation. Approximately 42 percent of cancer cases and 45 percent of cancer deaths in the United States are linked to lifestyle related risk factors including excess weight, poor diet and physical inactivity according to a study released last week.
