PoK girl shows mirror to Mehbooba; lavishes all praise on Indian Army

Early Times Report
Jammu, December 7: Laiba Zabair, a teenage girl, who inadvertently entered Poonch along with her sister, showed mirror to the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti- who had recently labeled illogical allegations on the Army.

Zabair lavished all praise on the Indian Army for treating them as guests despite the fact that both the sisters had crossed Line of Control (LoC) inadvertently on Sunday.

“We lost our way and entered Indian territory. We feared that Army personnel would beat us up but they treated us in a very good manner. We had thought that they would not allow us to go back but today we are being sent home. People are very good here. Indian Army personnel are very good human beings”, Laiba Zabair said.

After spending less than 24 hours in detention, the minor girls were sent back to their home. The handover of the sisters took place at the Chakan Da Bagh crossing point in the presence of civilian and military officials of Pakistan. They were given gifts and sweets by the Indian Army as a goodwill gesture.

While speaking to media, a defence spokesperson said, “Two girls of Abbasspur, Tehsil Forward Kahuta of PoK, who had inadvertently crossed into the Indian side in Poonch, have been repatriated from the Chakan Da Bagh crossing point today”

Laiba Zabair (17) and her younger sister Sana Zabair (13), residents of Kahuta Tehsil in PoK, were held on Sunday after being spotted wandering inside the Indian territory.

Recently Mehbooba Mufti had posted a highly provocative post from twitter handle against the Army. ‘Army personnel drag civilians out of their homes in the middle of the night, thrash them with batons & then force these innocent men to chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’. Seems like this is GOI’s ‘vision’ for integrating J&K into India now’, she posted on her twitter handle while reacting to Kashmir based news report.
