Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 7: Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit leaders reminded the Modi Government not to test the patience of farmers and reminded of "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan", saying that the entire country stands with the justified demands of the farmer.
In a press conference held at the party's state office, State President Manish Sahni, while declaring the agricultural bills as farmer-agitated and corporate supporter and demanded for immediate roll back. Raising voice over the pathetic condition of the Jammu and Kashmir farmers, Sahni said that the farmer here is facing terrorism and cross-border shelling along with anti-government policies. Farmer of the J&K is waiting for the relief for the last 73 years. Talking on the issues of Jammu farmers, he said that they are awaiting GI certification for Basmati rice and appropriate compensation on unseasonal rains. Sahni said that despite the bitter cold, farmers have been on the streets in the number of thousands for their justified demands for the last 12 days, farmers are getting all-round support, but the Modi government is adamant on giving the benefit to the corporate world. Sahni said that the intention of the government is to gradually abolish the minimum support price, to allow private companies an open exemption for exploitation of farmers.
