Tourism Deptt holds cleanliness drive at Bhimgarh Fort Reasi; TRC Alphagate Rajouri

JAMMU, Dec 7: The Directorate of Tourism, Jammu today organized the "Say No to Polythene Cleanliness Drive" here at Bhimgarh, Fort Reasi and TRC Alphagate, Rajouri.
At Reasi, the drive was undertaken in collaboration with the District Administration, Archives, Archaeology and Museums department J&K, Municipal Committee Reasi and Floriculture department Reasi.
The officers/officials of Tourism Department Katra, volunteers from Red Cross, General Zorawar Singh Memorial Trust participated in this drive.
The cleanliness drive was carried out from the main gate of Bhimgarh Fort and surrounding area of the fort. The aim was to make the premises of the historical monument polythene and single use plastic free.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib, Deputy Director J&K Archives, Archaeology and Museums department Tashi Tsering, Assistant Director Tourism, Executive Officer, Reasi MC participated in the drive and appealed to the general public to keep the surroundings especially tourist and public places clean.
In Rajouri, the drive was undertaken by the officials/officers of the Tourism Office in collaboration with the district administration and other departments.
The Tourism Department intends to continue the No Polythene and No Single Use Plastic Drive in all tourist areas.
