LAC’s agitation enters 53rd day

Jammu, Dec 7: The ongoing agitation of the lawyers practicing in Jammu wing of J&K High Court and the Subordinate Courts completed 53 days today.
The lawyers Action Committee (LAC) has been carrying ahead the agitation since 15 October 2020 in protest against continued closure of their entry into High Court completely and partially in Subordinate Courts besides no entry of public since March end this year and on few other issues.
The LAC has demanded immediately fulfilment of their eight points, opening of all courts for physical entry to lawyers and public, resume physical hearing, accepting hard copies of cases, opening the locked Bar Rooms of lawyers, providing stamp papers and tickets within court premises through stamp vendors, immediately opening of Consumer Courts, shifting back Registry of Documents to Judicial Officers, withdrawing contempt initiated against the lawyers and holding immediate election to the J&K Bar Council.
Today’s protest Dharna oragnised by the LAC in Janipura Court Complex Jammu was joined by Advocates JA Kazmi (former Vice President Jammu Bar), KK Pangotra, SC Subhash, H.C. Jalmeria Convener of Action Committee, SK Anand, Rajinder Kumar, CS Gupta(Former Secretary Jammu Bar), BR Sharma(Former Vice President Jammu Bar), BR Chandan, Ravinder Kumar Sharma, Mohan Lal Gupta, Shah Mohd Choudhary, Subodh Singh Jamwal, JP Sharma, Sunil Dutt Sharma, KS Parihar, Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Manohar Gupta, AK Beotra, LK Moza, BS Bhargav, SC Sharma, VS Saini, Parvinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Kunal Singh Chib, Pawan Kundal, Denesh Singh Jamwal, Mohd Rashid, Naresh Kumar, Mulakh Raj, Gagandeep Singh, Gourab Sharma, Vikram Pargotra, Ravi Kumar, Rokmesh Parihar and others.
