DDC Kishtwar reviews progress under district capex budget 2020-21

KISHTWAR, Dec 11: District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers and reviewed the progress under District Capex Budget, here at his office Chamber.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar; Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal, Chief Medical officer Dr RS Manhas, Chief Education Officer Ashok Kumar, besides XENs of PHE, PWD, PDD, and other district and sectoral officers.
At the outset, Joint Director Planning briefed the meeting about the department wise physical and financial achievements of Capex budget for the current financial year.
The meeting also took a detailed Scheme wise review of physical and financial achievements by Education, Health, PWD, PHE, PDD, RDD and other departments under District Capex Budget and MGNREGA for the year 2020-21.
While reviewing the progress of construction and upgradation of roads in the snow bound areas, the DDC directed the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of these roads.
The indenting departments were asked to visit construction sites along-with executing agencies for close monitoring of the works.
He asked the intending department to submit the weekly progress report of the works to DC Office.
He further directed all the executing agencies to take up the new projects/schemes for execution only after the said scheme/project are free from encumbrances, have Administrative approval, Technical sanction and provisions for funds and land compensation.
He also discussed various issues including implementation of Mid Day Meal scheme, repair of irrigation canals in Nagseni, promotion of Horticulture and agriculture in district, maintenance of the efficient power and water supply system.
