DCPO Kishtwar holds review meeting

KISHTWAR, Dec 15: District Child Protection Officer Kishtwar, Tariq Parvez Qazi today hold review meeting and counselling session with the incharge Superintendents of registered Child Care Institutions (CCIs) of Kishtwar.
The meeting was attended by Protection Officer (NIC) Touseef Iqbal Butt, Legal Cum Probationary Officer Basharat Nazir, Social Workers Saima Kousar and Meenakshi Sharma, Accountant Amit Gupta and Incharge Superintendents of Child Care Institutions of Kishtwar.
During the meeting, District Child Protection Officer Kishtwar said that the children residing in the government or private run Child Care Institutions are the backbone of society. There is a dire need to strengthen the overall development of a child including educational, physical, moral and social so that they could adjust themselves in the community, he focused.
He also instructed the incharge of institutions to be in touch with the field functionaries of Department of Integrated Child Protection Services and keep reporting the issues of health and other related to matters.
"Every CCI shall have a Management Committee which shall be responsible for monitoring and tracking the progress of every child in the institution as well as addressing all issues relating to the functioning of the CCI" he mentioned.
In the end, Qazi asked the ICPS Officers and other field functionaries to extend full logistics support for smooth functioning of Child Care Institutions.
