Provide fiscal help to closed units in J&K: CF | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 15: Citizen's forum demanded fiscal help from Finance Minister Sitaraman for closed / insipid running industrial and business units in J&K UT. It is not only the covid conditions even before that because of depression in the business in the country and more so in the J&K UT due to Border tensions and Militancy conditions prevailing still in the region. R K Chadha President Citizen's Forum has said Banquet Hall and Cinema Halls and many other businesses like Restaurants are almost closed for the last one year and their rehabilitation plans started by the center with Fiscal help through Banks is totally negligible as Bankers in Jammu has been choosy in providing loans to units who were fulfilling the conditions even up to 27th of march fixed by RBI to provide 10% or 20% loans to cover the covid period as help to run their houses and management of business. He said Punjab National Bank is one such bank which never refused a loan but never gave it also. A complaint Notice when written to the Finance Minister and chairman of the bank, the Staff started insulting the customer and refused to accept the complaint copy. The customer tries to send the notice through a Police SHO of the area but still refuses to accept. Even the DGM PNB Jammu when he tried to talk, refused to listen. We request the Finance Minister to kindly provide some fiscal help to these closed /insipid running units to stand and rehabilitate their units. These units have been paying hefty taxes but are now at the mercy of Banks to revive. |
