Jammu, Dec 19: Students and faculty of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu visited Bahu plaza participated in the campaign organized by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) “Plastic Lao Thaila Pao” at Bahu Plaza.
This month long campaign was inaugurated by Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor, JMC and Advocate Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor, JMC in presence of Dheeraj Gupta, Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department, Baldev Singh Billoria. Sanskritians also apprised the people there by bringing plastic waste from their homes and there by making them understand how can plastic waste be utilized in wholesome manner. As such, people are given one cloth bag for each set of 10 PET bottles, 10 pieces of mixed plastic products, 20 pieces of multi-layered plastics (of at least 100 grams and above), 20 small mixed plastic products or 15 pieces of plastic bags (of normal size of 1 to 2 kilograms carrying capacity).
Speaking on the same Rohini Aima ; Principal Cum Vice-Chairperson conveyed her gratitude to Avny Lavasa, Commissioner JMC, Tina Mahajan Secretary, JMC, for rendering the support and giving opportunity to Sanskritians to contribute substantially in this venture. |
