JUCC beat Sterlite Cricket Club in a Cliff hanger by 2 runs

Jammu, Dec. 20: Jammu United Cricket Club beat Sterlite Cricket Club in a Cliff Hanger T-20 cricket match by two runs here today.
Jammu United Cricket Club led by Vivek Suri won the toss and elected to bat first. Raghav was at its best from the very start but he could not capitalized on a brisk start and was out on 19 balls 23. SCC bowlers bowled on good line length and did not gave easy runs which led to 2 run outs. Vivek Suri played a captains knock of 27 in 22 ball and Pawan Parihar contributed 24 in 19 balls taking the total score to 126 in 20 overs. From Sterlite Cricket Club Harpal Singh was the pick of bowler with 3 wickets, Vishal & Sunny took 2 wickets apiece.
Chasing 127 runs to win, Sterlite Cricket Club led by Gaurav Gupta suffered an early blow as their main batsman Sunny was sent early by Waseem. But Avinash & Kanav played at ease and it seems that it will be a cake walk for SCC.
But Nitin Thakur bowled from the heart and was ably supported by Vivek Suri, Wasim, Yasir & Aman as wickets fell in a rush and from a comfortable position of needing 24 in 7 over with 5 wickets in hand, SCC was all out on 124 giving a 2 run victory to JUCC.
Nitin Thakur spearheaded the bowling attack with 3/15 while Waseem, Yasir & Vivek Suri shared 2 wicket each.
