Section 144 to remain imposed in Kishtwar on DDC elections counting day

JAMMU, Dec 20: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma today issued an order imposing Section 144 CrPC on counting day across District Kishtwar.
As per the details available with Early Times, DC Kishtwar vide order No. DM/K/20/24744 Dated 20-12-2020 ordered for imposition of Section 144 on December 22 and prohibited the assembly of five or more persons in Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas beside outside counting centers at Government Degree College Kishtwar, Kendriya Vidyalaya Kishtwar, TRC Chatroo, HSS Sounder, Treasury Office Paddar and HSS Youdroo Marwah. The order also instructed not to carry sharp edge weapons or lathies.
DC Kishtwar also imposed ban on victory procession, entry of armed security personnels inside counting centers, beside restricted the movement of vehicles from 7 am onwards in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas.
DC Kishtwar also direct the police to put all security arrangements in place to avoid any untoward incident as well as group clashes beside also direct the police to not stop any ambulance or vehicle carrying patients.
All the SDMs had also been directed to make similar arrangements at respective headquarters beside the officials had also been instructed to make arrangements for making announcements at block headquarters with regard to the counting updates.
DC Kishtwar also appointed various magistrates for different zones that includes in and around counting centers with Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Amir Hussain has been designated as overall incharge who will coordinate with all the magistrate for smooth implementation of the order issued by DC Kishtwar.
