Champions Academy Chandigarh lifts Under-17 Christmas Cricket C'ship

JAMMU, Dec 24: Champions Cricket Academy defeated Jammu Vishal Cricket club by 8 wickets and lifted Under-17 Christmas Cricket Championship which played at Landran Cricket Ground (Kharar) Mohali in Chandigarh.
Champions Cricket Academy Chandigarh won the toss and elected to field first. Jammu Vishal Cricket Club scored 210 runs for all wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. Rohan Gill was the main scorer with 54 runs, while Achintiya Khajuria and Jahanveer Singh contributed 37 and 30 runs for the team . From the bowling side Jorawar took 4 wickets, Sahil thakur took 3 wickets each, Anish Khan took 2 wickets while Daksh took 1 wicket.
In reply Jammu Champions Cricket Academy Chandigarh chased the target in 29.2 overs by losing 2 wickets only thus won the match by 8 wickets . Aryan Verma 109 and Jujhar 82 were the main scorers.. From the bowling side Sachin and Jahanveer took 1 wicket each.
Aryan Verma ,CCA was declared as man of the match in final, and From Vishal Club Jammu Rohan Gill declared Best Batsman, Sarvan Gupta Best Keeper, Arman Sharma Best Fielder and Achintiya Khajuria declared Man of the Series.
It needs to mention here that the tour for the Jammu boys is being arranged by the Senior Cricketers of J&K and Members of the Indian Cricket Association in association with Vishal Cricket Club Jammu under the supervision of Rajesh Gill member ICA, with the objective to provide platform to the J&K Cricketers so that they can exhibit their cricket talents and to improve their match temperament while playing with other state players.
Jammu Vishal Cricket club was accompanied with Avinash Uttam as Mentor, Ankush Sharma as Coach.
