Jammu, Dec 24: The Psychological Counselling Cell of Govt. Degree College Basohli today organised an expert talk by Dr. Manisha Kohli, Associate Prof. of Psychology GCW Gandhinagar, on the topic ‘The Power within You’ under the guidance of college Principal Dr. P.K. Rao which was attended by large number of college students and faculty.
In his inaugural address, the Principal of the college deliberated in detail about various types of psychological problems being faced by students. He laid stress upon the students to take the expert advice and counselling from Psychological Counselling Cell in solving their psychological and emotional problems, if any. The expert talk was delivered online by Dr. Manisha Kohli, Associate Professor in Psychology, GCW GandhiNagar, Cluster University of Jammu. She emphasised upon the positive thought processes and how to enhance these positive thoughts. She stressed upon self-introspection at regular intervals.
Dr. Shivmangal Singh, incharge Psychological Counselling Cell talked about the significance of psychological counselling to deal with day-to-day mental problems. On this occasion, Prof. Brham Dutt, Assistant Professor of Dogri recited some of his Dogri poems which received great applause from the audience.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Shivmangal Singh, incharge Psychological Counselling Cell and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Papinder Kumar, Assistant Professor of Economics. |
