Inquiry on expenditure of Ambphalla to HC Jammu road widening demanded 12/24/2020 11:20:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 24: Citizen’s Forum appealed LG Manoj Sinah to inquire the expenditure incurred on the road widening project from Ambphalla to JK High Court Jammu. They alleged that leaders of the area responsible for not allowing to complete this very important requirement of Jammu. R K Chadha President of the Citizen’s Forum said during our PIL in the High Court for constructing a flyover From Shakuntla Cinema to High Court Janipur, after facing many irrelevant objections from the non-accommodating Government of the day it was decided to widen the Ambphalla -Janipur road and Rs. 90 crore was approved for its expenditure including 1.5 crore for shifting of Power Station of the area. Interestingly All of a sudden Senior Advocates of J&K High Court Bar Association joined this PIL and the expenditure of 90 crores was increased to Rs.280 crores for giving compensation to the un-authorised occupation of 10 ft setback already left by the people for road widening on both side of Janipur Road. R K Chadha said we dont mind giving compensation whatever is decided by the court, shopkeepers deserve it.
