12/24/2020 11:21:51 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 24: Jammu’s pioneer private FM Station 92.7 BIG FM always comes with unique initiatives and this winter the station started a campaign “Don’t Wait, Donate” to help the underprivileged to fight this winter.
In a week-long campaign the RJs of Jammu RJ Juhie and RJ Rahul motivated Jammuites to donate woollens for the downtrodden and as a result loads of woollen clothes and blankets were donated by Jammu people. Keeping Covid 19 in mind, the listeners were requested to either bring new woollens or donate the old ones only if they were in good condition and properly sanitized. The collected material was gifted to more than hundred needy families of different Panchayats of Bari Brahmana block in the presence of block officers including the BDO Kapil Deol. Speaking about the initiative, Big FM spokesperson thanked all the stakeholders and particularly Big FM listeners for coming forward to help the needy during such times when on the one hand we are dealing with a pandemic and on the other hand, the weather is so harsh. He also extended thanks to the Jammu University administration for always supporting such noble causes. The campaign was also backed by Rotary Club Jammu Tawi who have always been at the forefront; Disha Foundation who are working tirelessly for social-civic causes; Gupta Decorators, Talab Tillo and Flyfot, Janipur.
The beneficiaries who got this “Gift of Warmth” from RJ Juhie and RJ Rahul expressed their gratitude for being helped by their fellow citizens. All precautions related to Covid-19 were taken while distribution.
