DDC reviews functioning of Education Department, NRLM, Municipal Council

KISHTWAR, Jan 5: District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma, today reviewed the functioning and progress of the various developmental Projects of National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Municipal Council and Education Department here at a meeting.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pawan Parihar Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; President MC, Riyaz Ahmed Zargar; Chief Education Officer, Ashok Kumar; LDM, Nasir Ahmed Butt; XEn PwD Division, Romesh Jamwal; XEn Marwah Mohammad Aslam Lone; DPM, NRLM, Sartaj Ahmed, besides others concerned officers and officials.
For 100 percent Adhaar generation in district, the DDC directed ADC to expedite the process in convergence mode with other departments. He further asked the CEO to install the Adhaar machines at the left out places/schools to cover the students.
During review of the functioning of Municipal Council Kishtwar, President MC highlighted the various issues like maintenance of streets and the extension of the existing Bus stand besides the slow pace of some works undertaken by the executing agencies at various places.
The DDC assured him of immediate redress of the issues, while directing the EO MC, Tariq Ahmed Balwan to identify the places where the CSC centres could be established as per the feasibility of people so that 100 % coverage under the PM-JAY sehat scheme was achieved in a time bound manner.
While reviewing the progress regarding 163 sanctioned houses under PMAY (U), it was informed in the meeting that 50 have been completed and rest are at the different stages of development and will be completed in stipulated time.
