Senior leaders encouraging indiscipline in BJP; shield Poonch based leader
1/18/2021 11:12:13 PM
Early Times Report
jammu, Jan 18: Even as BJP has issued show-cause notice to 'all-powerful' Poonch based party leader, an influential coterie within party is trying to protect the said leader who had alleged work round the clock to ensure defeat of party candidates on all the District Development Councils (DDCs) seats in the border district.
Reliable sources told The Early Times said that show-cause notice was issued to the same leader on December 31 but he has yet not given reply because some senior leaders were shielding him. "It is all due to protection of Jammu based senior leaders that Poonch based leader is unconcerned about show-cause notice", sources said and revealed that three members of the committee were also facing pressure from these senior leaders not to suggest any action against him.
As reported earlier, the Disciplinary Committee had issued notice to the said leader in which he was asked to clear his position. "It has been reported to Disciplinary Committee Jammu Kashmir Bhartiya Janata Party by Chisti district president Poonch of party and other senior leaders of district that you have worked against party candidates in recently concluded DDC elections which is serious matter of indiscipline from your side", the notice reads as.
Reliable sources further said that 18 days have been passed after issuance of the notice but nothing has been done due to pressure from Jammu based leaders. "Even Disciplinary Committee members are hesitating to suggest any action the same leaders because they are very much aware that this action would enrage some senior leaders", sources said and added the despite getting convincing evidences that the same leader had worked against party's official candidates Disciplinary Committee could not muster guts to recommend any action.
