Develop Devi Gole area as tourist destination: Keen
1/31/2021 10:56:20 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Jan 31: Social activist and youth leader of District Kishtwar Aftab Zakir Keen called upon Joint Director, Department of Tourism with a representation to develop the area of Devi Gole situated at Bunjwah, Kishtwar as a major tourist destination of J&K.
While interacting with Joint Director Tourism Neelam Khajuria, social activist Keen demanded construction of wooden huts at Devi Gole and other facilities at par with Gulmarg and Patnitop.
Later interacting with media persons, Keen said that Devi Gole area has a renowned temple of Goddess to which every year Hindu brethren visit from several nook and corners of erstwhile J&K with a pious Chhari yatra while the same place has a natural outcome of water at a huge height above sea level which is not less than a natural miracle in itself while as at the same place, Muslim brethren go for namaz even five times a day, which blesses this place as a symbol of communal harmony among the two communities. Along with this the said place has a large chunk of huge shady trees and a fresh oxygen outcome, which makes it a live heaven which rejuvenates a human soul to the extreme but from the last 74 years, the said place has been ignored by the elected representatives of the area.
But with the appointment of veteran, honest and dedicated officer Neelam Khajuria to the post of Joint Director Tourism, a hope of ray has touched the hearts of people of Bunjwah, Patnazi, Kishtwar that the said area will be brought on the tourism map of J&K which will develop the area and even will generate employment.
