Jammu, Jan 31: Jammu and Kashmir has one of the richest cultures in the world and artists across the globe must come and see for themselves all that the region has to offer, said former deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta today.
He said this while speaking at the culmination ceremony of an Art workshop which ended here in Patnitop. The 5-day-long national art workshop was organised by North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala, Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Sangeet Natak Acadmi and MSCBMC Trust. The workshop witnessed massive participation from artists from different states of India. Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said the land of Jammu and Kashmir is blessed with one of the richest culture and legacy in the entire world.
“Right from the moment you step into Jammu and Kashmir, it continues to amaze you with its cultural richness every few kilometres,” said Gupta while interacting with the artists as he appealed them to visit other parts of Jammu and Kashmir as well.
The artists later also visited Mansar tourist destination and were full of praised for the area too.
Prominent among the artists who participated in the workshop included Prakash Ghadhe and Nilesh Vede from Mumbai, Prabhaker from Hyderabad, Sanjay Chakraborty from West Bangal, Sanjay Sahni from Ghaziabad, Anil Bodwal from Haryana, Rakesh Singh from Allahabad, Ashok Kumar from Haryana, Kanwal Pal Singh, Gurmeet Kaur, and Bharti Vandna from Chandigarh, Meena Devi from Manipur, Saloni from Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Sinha , Aperna Singh, and Renuka Sondhi from Delhi, Vijay Dora from Hyderabad, Trupti Patil from Ahmdabad and Sahil Ohri from Jammu and Kashmir.
