DIC organizes awareness camp at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Feb 2: A day long awareness camp was organized by District Industries Centre, Udhampur today to sensitize the general public of the district about the schemes and programmes of Industries department. The awareness camp specifically focused on Industrial Package and Incentives, Industrial Development Scheme 2017, Aatma Nirbhar Bharat package, Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and awareness on Udhyam, GeM and TReDS registration.
The camp was attended by General Manager, District Industries Center, Udhampur, Pankaj Anand, Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Chowdhary, Deputy CEO KVIB, Tilak Raj, Assistant Director Handloom, N D Verma, Lead Bank Manager, Romesh Raina, President Industrial Association Battal Ballian, President Chamber of Commerce and other officers and officials of concerned departments besides unemployed youth from ITI Udhampur, established unit holders of Industrial estate Thanda Padder/llD Centre Battal Ballian and prospective entrepreneurs, weavers of Handloom and Handicrafts department besides general public. GM DIC, Pankaj Anand informed that DIC Udhampur had established a helpdesk for solving Udhyam and GeM related queries of the unit holders. Meanwhile, Deputy CEO KVIB Tilak Raj and AD Handloom N D Verma and highlighted their departmental schemes rendered by DIC Udhampur in generating employment avenues for the entrepreneurs. Lead Bank Manager, Romesh Raina also highlighted the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Package announced by the Government and the support being rendered by the Banks to help the entrepreneurs. President Industrial Association Battal Ballian and President Chamber of Commerce lauded the efforts of DIC for organizing this awareness camp.
