Samba, Feb 7 : In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba police seized 10 dumpers across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction material.
A police team of PS Vijaypur while performing routine vehicle checking duty at naka NHW near AIIMS site, Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur intercepted 6 dumpers having Regd. Numbers JK02CR/8717, JK02CF/3449, JK08J/8352, JK08J/2577, JK02CJ/1816 and JK02CJ/6449. The said vehicles were found loaded with sand and illegally transporting construction material.
A Police team of PS Bari Brahmana, while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdiction area, intercepted two dumpers having nos JK02CB-5491 and JK02CH-4664 for illegal transportation of construction material (sand).
Similarly, Police team of PP Supwal seized 2 dumpers bearing Regd. Nos JK21D-1945 & JK02CB-0482 at naka NHW Supwal for illegal transportation of construction material (sand).
All the 10 vehicles intercepted by Samba Police in the above mentioned incidents were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
