JKTJAC highlights burning issues of teachers

Jammu, Feb 7: A monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held at Udhampur today under the chairmanship of UT president Vinod Sharma and UT Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria.
The meeting was attended by JKTJAC representatives from all the eleven zones of the district Udhampur.
While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma raised the burning issues of the teachers which include transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme as these teachers have been working in the same schools for last 20 years, the inclusion of 5 Years ReT period for seniority benefits, regularisation of ReTs who have completed their 5 years ReT period and waiting for the same for a long time as a some cases are pending for last more than two years. Others included appointment of ZEOs in headless zones so that teachers may not suffer, conversion of left out RRETs to teachers Grade II/III as they are suffering due to non release of their salaries, DPC of teachers to masters as same has not been done since 2014 and sanction of master grade posts in SSA upgraded schools.
Sharma appealed the Administrative Secretary School Education and DSEJ/DSEJ to resolve all the issues of the teachers appointed under scheme who are playing a key role in raising the standard of education specially in rural areas m
While speaking on the occasion Sukhdev Singh Dumbria requested CEO Udhampur to make provision for release of pending MDM dues of Zones Ghordi and Udhampur which the teachers have managed from their own pockets .
Others who also spoke on the occasion were Sukesh khajuria, Sham Sharma, Ashok Seth, Rekha Thakur, Chain Singh, Surjeet Singh Thakur, Vipan Sharma, Ranjeet Singh, Shamsher Singh, Anil Sharma, Madan Lal, Sham Singh, Balwinder Singh, Manoj Sharma,Binder kumar, Sat Paul, Mohd Mustafa, Mohd Saleem, Anu Sharma, Sushma Devi, Prashant Sharma, Som Raj and others.
