RAJOURI, Feb 9: The ICDS supervisors were today imparted accounts training to enable them to maintain account books while carrying out different ICDS activities. The Department of ICDS under the overall supervision of the District Development Commissioner Rajouri,Rajesh K Shavan organised the day long training programme here in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bunglow. Programme Officer ICDS, Kartar Singh, Child Development Project Officer Rajouri, Naseer Ahmad and Accounts Officer, Om Parkash Sharma were present on the occasion. The Accounts Officer, while interacting with the participants, made them aware about a number of basic accounting terms and threw a detailed light on the importance of maintaining the accounts in the ICDS activities. They were also asked to purchase the material by conducting a market survey and make sure that the material is purchased at the approved market rates. The participants were asked to maintain a contingent Register and Cash book on a regular basis to have access to critical data on their fingertips. The proper accounts record is a must as it provides feedback to higher authorities regarding the financial results and status of an institution.
The Program Officer ICDS stressed on the supervisors to make the public aware about the various welfare schemes launched by central as well as UT Government from time to time like POSHAN Abhyian, PMMVY, SAG and others. He also directed to ensure cent percent coverage of all the eligible beneficiaries under these schemes. |
