Early Times Report AKHNOOR, Feb 19: NSS unit of Govt. Degree College Khour concluded its 07 days Winter Special Camp with valedictory celebrations. The programme began  with welcome note to the chief guest, Prof. Hans Raj, Principal of the college and Guest  of Honour Prof. Tarseem Lal. Firstly, the camp report was presented  by NSS Programme Officer Prof. Gurvinder Kour which highlighted celebration of various activities under various Govt. programmes  like "Fit India Mission", "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat", "Swachh  Bharat Abhiyan" during the camp. In this weeklong camp, NSS volunteers also organized an awareness rally on Covid-19 pandemic and visited their adopted village, Narayana in Khour where they interacted with the people and made them aware  about safety measures against the corona  virus & also distributed face masks to the unmasked people. Cultural items were performed by the NSS volunteers as part of the valedictory function, the highlight of the program was Dogra Turban competition. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the efforts made during the 07 Days Camp by NSS Volunteers and stressed upon the volunteers to follow the vision and mission of National Service Scheme in building their personality and strengthening nation through community work. |
