GS Sports Club organizes seminar on 'Cyber Ethics & Digital Footprints'

JAMMU, Feb 19: GS Sports Club today organized a seminar on 'Cyber Ethics & Digital Footprints' at R.M Public School, Chowadi (Sainik Colony).
The main aim of the seminar was to create awareness among the teachers and students of the crimes of the digital era and ethics to be followed while being part of virtual platform and role of digital footprints being digital citizens of the country in which Farooq Qaiser (SP) Dy. Commandant IRP 7th BN was the chief guest and Er Vikas Razdan Cyber Warrior Certified Intervention Officer (ISAC) from jkcyberyodha an initiative taken by Mohd Yaseen Kitchloo Cyber Security Expert J&K under the operation timshel for creating cyber awareness among masses was the Keynote speaker of the seminar, President GS sports Club Er Atul Sudan and Director RM Public School Rakshin Mengi.
Er Vikas Razdan, Cyber Warrior Certified Intervention Officer (ISAC) presented the presentation on ethics to be maintained by the citizens. A wide range of topics like identity theft, cyber grooming, cyber bullying, cyber stalking, sextortion, love scams, phishing were covered during the seminar and the students were made aware to restrain from disclosing their identities online and not to fell prey to the cyber criminals.
Chief Guest Farooq Qaiser (SP) Dy Commandant IRP 7th BN speaking on the occasion congratulated GS Sports Club and its team for organizing such events. He said students should today take a lesson from here and should pass the gathered knowledge to their parents and guardians at home regarding crimes. Chairman RM Public School Rameshwar Mengi, who also presided over the function, urged the students to maintain proper cyber ethics and cyber hygiene, stay physically fit, work hard to pursue their aims and play an important role in nation building.
