JAMMU, Feb 19: A 17-member J&K UT Cross Country team was today flagged off for participating in 55th National Cross Country Championships to be held at Chandigarh on February 21. The screening of the team was held at MA stadium today which was conducted by Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, J&K Sports Council in presence of Satish Gupta, Manager Indoor Stadium, Sharat Chander Singh, General secretary J&K Athletics Association, Satpal Sharma Retd Badminton coach, Ramesh Sharma Sr. Athletics Coach, Vinod Bhatia and Goutam Sharma.
The members of the team for Men (Open)10 km Cross Country included Kulbir Singh, Ravi Dass, Hans Raj, Tahir Aziz, Balwinder Singh and Akshay Sharma while Men (under 20) 8 km Cross Country are Adetya Singh, Harish Kumar, Sagar Kumar, Vishal Chib, Talib Hussain and Aryaveer Singh
For Women (under 20) 6 km Cross Country, the member of the team is Rama Sharma while for Boys (under 18) 6 KM Cross Country the team will be represented by Sanjay Singh.
In the Boys (under 16) 2 KM Cross Country, Aman Singh and Arun Singh will represent the team while in Girls (under 16) 2 KM Cross Country, Suhana Rajput is the lone member.
