JAMMU, Feb 28: Department of Mathematics School of sciences , Cluster University of jammu organized a seminar on National Science Day under the patronage of Prof. Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor, Cluster university of jammu. In this programme Prof. Bhupinder Singh, Dean Academic Affairs was the chief guest.
The programme started with Welcome address by Prof. Sanjay Verma, Dean faculty of Sciences, Cluster University of Jammu, he welcomed the audience and in his speech he told that no science is complete without mathematics. Prof. Bhupinder Singh in his speech praised the Department of Mathematics for organizing such programmes and awared the students about importance of Mathematics for overall development of mankind.
Dr. Narinder Sharma, Coordinator Mathematics and Convener of the programme gave a brief introduction of theme of the seminar and different activities to be covered in the seminar.
In this programme students gave their presentations on the theme "Role of Mathematics in the advancement of Science" . Shrenya , Tejasvi, Divya Surmal, and Taniya Gupta got first, second, third and fourth position respectively in the students seminar.The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sapna Sharma , organising Secretary of this event. Dr. Khalid Manzoor and Dr. Charu sharma were the jury members of Students seminar.The Programme concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Narinder Sharma. |
