| Hit & Run case solved, one arrested | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 28: Solving a hit and run case Akhnoor Police today arrested the accused person from Kalakote area.
Police sources told that on 27-02-2021, an information was received at Police Station Akhnoor that one person namely Narinder Kumar resident of Khour on his scooty bearing Registration No. JK02BS/0902 during his way from Kodeywala towards Akhnoor was hit by an unknown vehicle.
“Some locals shifted the victim to nearby hospital for treatment and further he was shifted to GMC Jammu.
The driver fled away from the spot along with the vehicle. On the information, a case FIR No. 51/2021 U/S 279/337 IPC got registered at Police Station Akhnoor. On this special police teams of Police Station Akhnoor were constituted”, official sources said.
“The team led by SHO Police Station Akhnoor Inspr. Ravi Singh Parihar after hectic efforts and with the help of CCTV camera footage of different locations and through questioning of local residents of the surrounding areas arrested the accused driver namely Mohd. Zaffer resident Danyot tehsil Kalakot, Rajouri. The vehicle involved in the case was also recovered and seized.
Further investigation of the case is going on”, sources said. |
