SRINAGAR, Mar 13: Master Younus needs no introduction. A resident of Hanjigund-Chadoora in Budgam district Master Younus is the son of Abdul Khaliq Bhat and belongs to the Karam Buland family, a Sufi family. Master Younus is a great musician and best music instructor of Kashmir valley.
Younus started his career in music when he was in 5th standard by playing table. Gradually putting valiant efforts in this art he continued his practice and did masters in Indian Classical Music from university of Chandigarh and is at present pursuing doctorate in music. Younus lost his father at the earliest stage of his life and he was raised by his mother. His mother in spite of facing all hardships and struggles gave full support to Younus. Younus is a high grade artist from All India Radio and has been bestowed with many awards. Younus is considered to be an all rounder in the field of music as he can sing, play harmonium, keyboard, tabla, Dholak, kango, octapad, so on and so forth with huge amount of intelligence and intensity.
