BJP leader says Kashmir politicians beg for Dubai gifts!
3/14/2021 12:01:45 AM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

Jammu, Mar 13: Bharatiya Janta Party, senior leader and spokesman, Khalid Jahangir has accused Kashmir politicians of “begging for gifts” to be brought in from Dubai.
In a tweet, Khalid caused a stir saying: “Breaking: It has come to the notice of many that Kashmiri Politicians are begging things from People who are travelling from Dubai. Shame on you , have some self respect these travellers talk about this to everyone. STOP POLITICAL BEGGING. EAT HALAL, WEAR HALAL.”
Sources said Khalid has inputs that the Kashmir politicians were requesting those travelling in to homeland Kashmir from Dubai to bring along costly gifts of big brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Channel.
Khalid made this post a few hours after taking a dig at former Chief Ministers, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti over senior politician Basharat Bukhari having left the National Conference. Before joining National Conference three years ago, Basharat had quit Peoples Democratic Party and hailed NC.
Khalid said that both Omar and Mehbooba were listening to sad song “Bichde Sabhi Baari Baari.”
The BJP leader hinted that both the Abdullahs and Muftis were shouting that “Hey Basharat what did you do to our parties.”
It is pertinent to mention that Kashmir politicians have often come under public scanner for their “luxurious lifestyle” in which they are seen using “costly branded items from clothes to cars to perfumes.”
A senior BJP leader told Early Times that the party looks ahead to expose the “luxurious lifestyle of the Kashmiri politicians.”
“The point is that how do these politicians manage to get all such costly brands. One thing is clear that for the last around two years they have not been going abroad, someone is getting these gifts for them,” said the politician on the condition of anonymity.
It’s an open secret in Kashmir that many of the Kashmiri politicians do have property in Dubai.
