PM’s Pariksha Pe Charcha- 2021: DSEJ sensitizes stakeholders about registration process

JAMMU, Mar 14: Counselling Cell, Directorate of School Education Jammu organised a mega webinar on PPC-21 in which more than 10000 stakeholders were sensitized about the registration process and other formalities required to participate in the coming virtual interaction programme with Prime Minister of India, Pariksha Pe Charcha - 2021.
The webinar was conducted through ICT labs all across the schools (HS& HSS) of Jammu division. Pariksha Pe Charcha is part of the larger movement - ‘Exam Warriors’, to create a stress-free atmosphere for youngsters. It is a movement that is driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to foster an environment where the unique individuality of each child is celebrated, encouraged and allowed to express itself fully. The Prime Minister outlined a refreshing approach to education through his path breaking and bestselling book Exam Warriors. He urged everyone to put exams in the right perspective, to make learning an enjoyable, fulfilling and endless journey. Pertinent to mention here that as per counselling calendar campaign on examination stress management by school faculty counsellors, a whopping more than 3 lakh students have already been sensitized hitherto. Advisories in news papers, video messages, sessions with experts were already being used continuously for sensitization of all concerned. Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta while wishing good luck to the students asked them to be natural and true to themselves while submitting their entries because the themes inolved were very much related to everyday life. She further added that students should develop the habit of reading books because reading, thinking and writing are the basic objective of PPC-21. In the deliberations held, she categorically asked the concerned officials to focuss on minimum five registration from each high and higher secondary school and requested HOIs to encourage teachers and parents also to participate in large numbers.
Head counselling cell DSEJ, Romesh Kumar took full session on stress management. He said COVID pandemic added uncertainty into already very tense examination atmosphere. He suggested few tips like no comparison, visualize success, positive self talk, physical exercise, take smaller breaks, focus on work not results etc for best results. He further answering queries of students added that adopt the habit of deep processing, sit in distraction free atmosphere, give quality time, practice memory enhancement techniques etc for happy learning.
The event was coordinated by team counselling cell in which Dr Surinder Kumar provided detailed description about registration process in 4th edition of Pariksha pe charcha 2021 and reporting mechanism for participating institutions. Shanti Saroop elaborated on the themes of learners and also deliberated on personality development methods. Dr Alka Sharma presented vote of thanks. Prominent among others who coordinated were Preeti Sharma, Manan Mahajan whereas Sohail Wani DRG Doda provided the technical support.
