Poonch, Mar 16: The Forest Department Poonch today succeeded in dismantling an illegally raised structure peacefully in forest land during its drive. No resistance was faced by the department from the illegal occupant.
As per reports, a complaint of fresh attempt of encroachment by illegally raising structure (under construction) in Khasara no. 117 Bhataduriya Mendhar was reported. However, on 09-03-2021 eviction drive was foiled due to full framed drama of the executive magistrate, clearly evident in a video.
The officials informed that after failure of operations acted as motivation for other encroachers and there have been three new attempts of encroachment during odd hours which field staff has effectively checked within four days. Such fresh attempts of encroachment are mainly to grab Forest land under FRA, they added.
This case became a challenge for field staff in protecting forest land, otherwise other attempts of encroachment would increase manifold beyond control of staff. Through continuous perusal of case, under various tact and provisions of act, today this structure has been dismantled very peacefully. |
