| Advisor Baseer Khan seeks report from Director RDD Jammu | | Withholding of Rs 4 Cr MGNREGA payments | | ASIF IQBAL NAIK

JAMMU, Mar 17: A public delegation from remote Marwah, Warwan and Dachhan blocks of Kishtwar District comprising of Sarpanches, Panches, political and social activists called upon Baseer Ahmed Khan, Advisor to Lt. Governor demanding immediate release of Rs four crore withhold by Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar in January 2021.
As per the details available with Early Times, the public delegation led by Block Development Council Chairman Adil Hussain informed the advisor that ACD Kishtwar had kept the payments of more than four crores in his own official accounts without further disbursement to BDOs as per the prescribed procedure. The delegation requested the Advisor to intervene into the matter by giving directions to the concern officials to release the payments withheld without any justification.
Khan directed Director RDD to furnish the report in this regard. "Kindly find enclosed herewith a representation from people of Marwah, Warwan & Dachhan presented before Hon'ble Advisor (BK) to Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor, J&K on the captioned subject which is self explanatory. In this connection, I am directed to request you to kindly furnish report in the matter" read a letter addressed to Director RDD Jammu signed by Syed Sajjad Qadri posted personal section of Advisor Baseer Khan. |
