SRINAGAR, Mar 23: A Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) in the central Kashmir district of Badgam was shut for five days after nine students tested positive for COVID-19, officials said Tuesday. They said during checking nine students of GHSS Hardapanzoo Khansahib in Badgam were found infected with the novel coronavirus.
The development was brought into the notice of Chief Education Officer (CEO), Badgam who ordered closure of the school for five days from Wednesday. The school will remained closed as a precautionary measure to prevent further spread of the disease, he said. The Higher Secondary Schools reopened on March 1, this year, after remaining closed for about a year due to COVID-19 pandemic. |
