KATHUA, Mar 24: Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Yadav today presided over maiden weekly Block Diwas proceedings at Block Nagri Parole, the first after assuming the charge of district Kathua.
BDC Chairman Nagri Khazan Chand; BDC Chairman Barnoti, Brijeshwar Singh; DDC Member Nagri Sandeep Majotra; SSP Kathua R.C Kotwal; MC Chairman, Anil Singh Andotra; ACD Narayan Dutt and other district and sectoral officers were present.
People hailing from different areas of block Nagri Parole and adjoining Blocks apprised the DDC about their issues, grievances and demands which were mainly related to the provision of basic amenities viz roads, drinking water, power supply and ration besides highlighting other issues such as shortage of school and medical staff, pending pension cases and release of pending MGNREGA payments etc.
The DDC assured deputations, representatives and individuals that their issues and demands are duly registered by the concerned departments, while many issues were addressed on the spot.
Responding to the demands of shortage of staff in the health department, the DDC assured that the matter will be taken up with concerned authorities. |
