JKTJAC holds monthly meeting, raises issues of teachers

UDHAMPUR, Apr 4: A monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) held at Udhampur under the chairmanship of UT president Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of JKTJAC from all the eleven zones of the district .
While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma highlighted the genuine and burning issues of the teachers which include inclusion of 5 Years ReT period for seniority benefits as they devoted their 5 years on the meager pay of Rs 1500 per month, Regularisation of ReTs who have completed their 5 years ReT period and waiting for the same for a long time as a some cases are pending for last more than two years , Appointment of CEOs/ Principals/ Headmasters/ZEOs in headless Districts /Schools/zones, Transfer Policy in favour of Teachers appointed under ReT scheme as these teachers have been working in the same schools for last 20 years and change is law of nature and even honourable high court has given direction in this regard, Conversion of left out RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III as they are suffering due to non release of their salaries for last more than 2 years and DPC of teachers to masters as same has not been done since 2014. Others who also spoke on the occasion were: Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria , Ashok Seth , Pritam Goswami ,Ravinder Rathore , Sandeep Sharma , Shamsher Singh Rakesh Singh , Jagdish Chander Sharma, Ajay Thakur, Raj Kumar, Vidhi Lal, and others.
