RAMBAN, Apr 14: Newly elected DDC Chairperson Dr Shamshada Shan along with other councilors expresses concern on the issue.
DDC chairman Dr Shamshada Shan along with other councilors express serious concern on non availability of office in District Ramban. Dr Shamshada said that the office which adminstration has provided them in not acceptable, as the office is situated in a faraway area. It would be very difficult for the people to reach there because of not having any appropriate transport service to the said area. She strongly advocated the need of providing accomodation in the District secretariat premises as the two buildings are already vacant there.
Dr Shamshada Shan also urged that months have passed when the DDC election was held and people participated in large numbers in these elections. People have expressed their hopes on them so that their day to day sufferings may get resolved. She also added tht government must take concrete steps to ensure the time bound finalisation of their office accomodation in District secretariat. After brief discussion all the councilors along with chairman met Deputy Commissioner Ramban regarding the above said issue. Dr Shamshada Shan urged upon the lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha for thrusting on the adminstration to provide appropriate accomodation to DDC Chairman,Vice Chairman and other councilors in District secretariat premises. So that the office will function as soon as possible. |
