Shree Vishwakarma Library & Research Centre holds poetry session

JAMMU, Apr 14: Shree Vishwakarma Library & Research Centre (SVLARC) New Plot Jammu organized a multilingual "Poetry Session" under the chairmanship of Brig (Dr) Vijay Sagar Dheman in which Prof (Dr) Veena Gupta and Dr Chanchal Bhasin were guests of honour.
A total of twenty poets including Dr Chanchal Bhasin (Dogri), Rakesh Verma from Akhnoor (Hindi); Harbans Lal Harsh from Khour (Dogri/ Hindi); K.R Sathi Salgotra (Dogri); Neelam Verma (Dogri); Balwant Kataria (Dogri); Kasturi Lal (Dogri); Om Arsh Dalmotra (Urdu); Basant Vyogi (Dogri); Rattan Bhardwaj from Akhnoor (Dogri); Rattan Doshi (Urdu); Avtar Verma (Panjabi), Madan Brall, Raj Kumar ( Punjabi) Basant Vyogi (Dogri), Chaman Panthi (Dogri), J.R Sagar (Dogri), Chanderved Parkash (Dogri) Rattan Bhardwaj (Dogri) Anita Salgotra (Hindi), Dharam Paul Kataria ( Dogri) Jayini Verma (English) and Sudershan Salgotra (English) participated in the session. Each poet was given away a participation certificate and a memento, which were presented by Brig (Dr) Vijay Sagar Dheman.
Prof Veena Gupta in her address said, "The function was simple but very impressive and sufficient to promote art and culture." She disclosed that she visualized real dedication, zeal, and love for art in the organizers of this event.
Convenor of the Library, Ramesh Angotra while appreciating the poetry cited by the participants, remarked that poets and writers are important section of society and they should be duly respected and honoured. He said Vishwakarma Library is committed to promote Art, Culture and Literature and has come out of all odds during its twelve years journey.
