| CBI arrested Sanitary Supervisor JMC for accepting & demanding bribe | | |

Jammu April 16: In a significant development, the team of Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) had shot while ago arrested Smt Shezadi Gill, Sanitary Supervisor Municipal Corporation Jammu who was demanding bribe of Rs. 5000 from a Safie Karamchari working under her through a contracto.
As per the details available with Early Times, she was trapped by the CBI sleuths after the victim lodged complaint with them and caught her red handed while accepting and demanding bribe. On this case RC 6/2021 was registered by CBI at its Jammu office and further investigation is going on into the matter.
As per latest reports, searches in MC office as well as at the residence of the woman sanitary officer located at Residency Road Jammu is still under way when last reports came in.
CBI sources while confirming the arrest of Sanitary Supervisor urged the people to come forward with complaints regarding the ongoing corruption in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
It is pertinent to mention that only few days ago, CBI arrested senior passport officer at Jammu while demanding and accepting the bribe from a complainant for getting the job of renovation of his passport. |
