Singh Veterans Akhnoor beat Jammu Sports Veterans by 3 runs

JAMMU, Apr 18: In the ongoing Veterans Cricket Cup today’s match was played between Singh Veterans Akhnoor (SVA) and Jammu Sports Veterans (JSV) at Govt Higher Secondary School Akhnoor. Singh Veterans Akhnoor won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first SVA scored 165/7 in 20 overs Ravi Verma scored 43(32), Sonu Malhotra 38(25), Mall Dita 23(26), Brijnandan 12(9) and Davinder Chander 14(10). From Jammu Sports Veterans Mukesh Sharma got 2 wickets while Koushal, Pawan and Jagdev shared 1 each.
Batting second, Jammu Sports Veterans tried hard but remained 3runs short from target and scored 162/7 in 20 overs. Manoj 63(43), Jagdev 33(18), Vishal 19(21), Varinder 11(8) were top scorers from Jammu Sports veterans and from Singh Veterans Davinder Chandan got 3 wickets while Sham Singh Langeh got 2 wicktes and Rajinder got 1 wicket.
Davinder Chandan was judged man of the match. Vikas Bali and Manav Mehta were umpires and Rahul Sharma was scorer.
The Tournament is being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor under the overall supervision of Kr Sham Singh Langeh (General Secretary JKCA District Jammu).
