Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 19: Principal GDC Doda Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi inaugurated the UGC-NSQF approved skill based courses in the Dept. of Zoology GDC Doda on 19-04-2021 in the presence of faculty of Zoology Dept. comprising Head Dept. of Zoology Dr Ajaz A Wani, Asstt. Prof. Imteyaz Ahmed, Dr Neelam Saba and Dr Munish Thakur.
Principal along with other staff of GDC Doda congratulated the Dept. of Zoology for getting the honor of starting these UGC NSQF approved skill courses in the field of dairy farming, apiculture and poultry farming .
This is one of the unique and much needed step taken in any college of the Jammu division of the UT of J&K particularly at the time when skill development approach is highly focused at global level including in India.
This will boost skill development in Chenab region and around. As there is a huge scope for the sectors of Dairy, Poultry and Apiculture in Chenab region because of huge demand; the courses will definitely go a long way in meeting the gap between supply and demand here in the long run. Besides Principal interacted with guest faculty recruited for running these courses and the students admitted there.
