Director Horticulture inspects Raipur Fruit Nursery

JAMMU, Apr 19: Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak, today took stock of the developmental activities undertaken in the Government Fruit Plant Nursery Raipur.
He was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer, Jammu, S. Sarbjeet Singh, Deputy Director Planning, Ankita Sharma, District Horticulture Officer, District Level Subject Matter Specialists and Horticulture Development Officer.
During the visit, he inspected the newly established Mother Block of Taiwan Guava which has been introduced for the first time in any Fruit plant Nursery of the Department. He also inspected other activities related to the Production of Quality Planting material of various fruit crops like Grapes, Peach, Litchi, Mango, Citrus etc.
The Director Horticulture instructed the concerned Horticulture Development Officer to ensure production of planting material on scientific lines that can be made available to the farming community for better production.
While interacting with the field staff, he instructed them to work hard with zeal and dedication and achieve the allotted targets in time.
