NCC Wing of GGM Science College organizes online poster competition

JAMMU, Apr 28: To celebrate the “World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2021- Anticipate, Prepare and Respond to Crises”, an online poster competition was organized by NCC Senior Wing Cadets of GGM Science College, Jammu.
The event, a part of “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahautsav (celebration of 75th Independence day),was held under the guidance of principal of the college, Dr Ravender Tickoo and supervision of Associate NCC Officer Dr (Capt) Anjana Sharma, Department of Computer Science.
The cadets made posters to aware the employers, workers and whole societies to protect safety and health at work and also to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and. The posters made by the NCC girl cadets mainly focused on occupational safety and health culture, the right to a safe and healthy working environment at all levels, through a system of defined rights, responsibilities and duties. The principal appreciated the efforts put by the cadets and the ANO to celebrate this day online to create awareness among people regarding health and safety measures necessary to make the environment healthy and positive at the workplace.
Prof Shakha Sharma, Deptt of Zoology and Prof Preeti Dogra of EVS Department of the college judged all the posters made by more than twenty NCC cadets. The first prize was won by Cadet Manbhi Gadhi and second prize winners are Cadet Mini Masih and Riya Gupta, third prize was bagged by Cadet Mehak Billowria. The consolation prizes were given to Cadet Diya Choudhary and Cadet Tejal Kaste.
