Early Times Report

Poonch, Apr 28: Amid surge in COVID-19 cases across Jammu region, the District Hospital Poonch seems to be non serious which can be gauged from the fact that it has been grappling with insanitation posing health threat to the lives of people visiting to hospital. Shockingly despite number of complaints against the hospital administration with higher authority about gross insanitation in hospital, nothing has been done till date to maintain hygiene so that ailing patients feel comfortable.
Taking note of problem of the general people, DDC Chairman and DDC Member Poonch visited District Hospital Poonch and inspected the sanitation aspect and other facilities and expressed his displeasure over the carelessness of the hospital administration.
“There was no sanitation in the hospital, garbage was seen littered in the hospital. COVID-19 patients were not being attended properly,” they alleged further adding that district hospital Poonch had remained in news for its bad functioning but no concrete steps were taken to streamline the facilities in the hospital.
When contacted CMO Poonch, he didn’t received the call. Furthermore, tried to get connected with him on text via whats app he ignored the texts.
