DC Samba inspects functioning of pan district Hospitals, Oxygen plants

SAMBA, Apr 28: Deputy Commissioner, Samba Anuradha Gupta today visited hospitals of Samba district, including District Hospital Samba, Accidental Hospital Ghagwal, Community Health Centre Ramgarh, Shree Aum Hospital Bari Brahmana, Krishtu Hospital Bari Brahmana, and ESIC Model Hospital Bari Brahmana and reviewed the covid-19 health care facilities.
During the visit, Additional Deputy Commissioner Suram Chand Sharma, Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, CP Kotwal, SDM Ghagwal Ramesh Sharma were also present. The Deputy Commissioner Samba inspected the facilities and arrangements available in the hospital premises for attending the patients in general and covid-19 patients in particular. The DC checked the hospital records register and stock availability and directed the medical superintendents of the hospitals to ensure availability of medical staff and medical stocks for attending patients efficiently and also strive for minimizing any public grievance in hospitals. She stressed on putting in collective effort for mitigating the surge of covid-19 patients in hospitals and ensuring proper medical attention is given to each patient. The DC said there was utmost need to protect our patients and workforce by maximizing vaccination coverage, screening of patients, proper usage of PPE Kits, separation of patients with fever, respiration symptoms and other flues like symptoms, besides leveraging technologies like tele medicine, and self assessments tools. Later, Deputy Commissioner Samba also visited oxygen generating factories in Bari Brahmana and took stock of their dispatch control room. The DC directed to continue supply chain unhindered across the state and storing sufficient cylinders as a back-up emergency. DC directed revenue officers and police to ensure zero diversion of medical oxygen for any purpose other than health Care.
